Essential Cleaning Supplies To Clean Your Home

Cleaning is often the hardest but most rewarding chore in a house. Over the thousands of years of human’s modern life span, germs and bacteria have evolved, giving people some serious illnesses that have not existed during our ancestor’s time. This and many other reasons are why we need to make sure that our home is not just clean but VERY clean.

There are a lot of cleaning products in supermarkets today that you would often get confused on what to buy. Many products promise to be everything-you-need-in-one, but that’s often just a marketing ploy. Choosing your cleaning products shouldn’t be complicated, but you surely need more than one thing.

Going Organic By Making Your Own Cleaning Supplies:

One of the most popular cleaning options today is the use of organic cleaning supplies that you can make yourself.  Instead of using all the manufactured and potentially hazardous chemicals each week, why not try to make your own cleaning supplies yourself?    Check out this video to see how:

One of the most essential tools in cleaning is a cleaning rag. Using rags that are made of polyester is one of the best decisions that you can make. You can absolutely use then for anything from shining, to removing dirt, to polishing.

For cleaning surfaces, you would need an all-purpose cleaner, some sponge, gloves and scrubbers.   Remember to go up then down whenever you clean walls. That way, you don’t have to clean the surface again if the dirty water falls on an already cleaned surface. You would also want to keep your things in one place to avoid looking for everything when you need them. You can probably buy a little basket where you can stash all of your cleaning products.

No matter how small a house is, it will surely generate a fair amount of trash. Always use trash liners for your waste basket, but you don’t have to necessarily purchase them. You can reuse grocery bags as trash liners. That’s saving and being earth-friendly at the same time. Speaking of being earth-friendly, you may want to have two waste baskets. One for biodegradables, such as fruits and papers while the other one is for non-biodegradables like plastics. Some institutions buy biodegradable wastes for recycling so you can make a little money on the side while helping Mother Earth.

You would also like to focus on places that generated germs when cleaning. The refrigerator, counters and sinks are some example of this. Your anti-bacterial cleaner would be needed most in this places, to make your kitchen germ-free.

Remember that safety comes first. This is especially true for homes with kids or pets. Be sure to keep your cleaning products away from places they could easily open or reach. Part of this reminder is to clean after you clean. Make sure to keep your cleaning supplies, especially poisonous ones such as detergent and bleach where they belong. Don’t leave them lying around. Remember what people say? “Prevention is better than cure”.
